Enjoy summery blush-peach flowers all year long with this compact fast-growing native shrub. Flowers for longest in warm sunny spots. Will only reach 1m around, ideal for low maintenance gardens and container planting.
Richard Tomkin who bred the plant says “It’s a tiny plant, it’s less than a metre tall, it’s about a metre round, it flowers all year, it’s got soft foliage — it’s a gorgeous little thing.”
Grevillea ‘Soopa Doopa’
APPEARANCE : Fast establishing native with a tidy, rounded growth habit. Flowers are sandy-reddish-pink when in bud and open into rich sunset pink-orange, appearing throughout the year. Foliage is grey-green and feathery, bronze-flushed when young.
USE FOR : Feature planting, container gardens, long season of colour
PLANTING: Full sun or part shade. To get the longest flowering period from this grevillea plant in a warm sunny position in the garden. It does best planted into a raised mound of earth for good drainage, with extra water when needed.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established. Prune after flowering to promote flowering and dense growth habit. Feed with a slow release native fertiliser when buds form – grevilleas can be phosphorus-sensitive so the P ratio of the fertiliser needs to be under 3%.
